About the Role

At Atlar, connectivity is the backbone of our operations, linking us with traditional banks, neobanks, PSPs, ERPs, spend management tools, and more. At the heart of our platform is a proprietary connectivity network that consolidates financial data and payment functionality for our customers. This network is essential to the success of our products.

As the Engineering Manager in Connectivity, you will play a pivotal role in both guiding the team that builds this network and directly contributing to its technical success. You’ll have the unique opportunity to shape our connectivity infrastructure from the ground up, ensuring it not only runs smoothly but also evolves to meet future challenges.

What You’ll Do

Build, Develop, and Mentor Engineering Teams

• Recruitment and Onboarding: Identify and bring on board top engineering talent. Ensure new hires are smoothly integrated into the team and are set up for success.
• 1-on-1 Coaching: Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide personalized feedback, guidance, and mentorship. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Hands-on Technical Leadership: While your primary focus will be on management, you’ll also dive into technical challenges, contributing to coding when necessary and guiding your team through complex technical problems.

Drive Technical Excellence and Process Optimization

• Lead Project Execution: Oversee the technical execution of projects, ensuring that timelines and deliverables are met with the highest quality.
• Refine Internal Processes: Develop and document internal processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team, including troubleshooting and incident management with our banking partners.

Be the Connectivity Domain Expert

• Technical Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical contact for Atlar’s banking partners and other stakeholders. Lead the onboarding of new partners and ensure seamless integration and troubleshooting.
• Support Product and Sales Teams: Work closely with the Sales and Delivery teams to address customer needs, field technical questions, and ensure that the connectivity network supports our business goals.

What You Need

• A technical bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer with a strong track record.
• At least 2 years of experience in engineering management, product management, or a similar leadership role, with a focus on team development and project execution.
• Strong technical skills, including experience in coding and problem-solving in complex environments.
• Excellent project management and communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with ERP software (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Familiarity with bank integration channels.
• Background in financial services or a high-growth startup environment.
