About the Role

In this role as a Data Engineer, you will be crucial in shaping Opti’s data infrastructure and analytical capabilities. You will design and implement scalable data architectures, develop and utilize BI metrics, and conduct thorough data analyses to inform business decisions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and curiosity about user behavior, making you a key player in modernizing Opti’s data systems. You will work closely with various teams, including the CEO, CTO, and commercial teams, to ensure that data-driven insights drive Opti’s innovation and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecting: Design the structure and components of data systems.
• Implementation: Build and deploy these systems to production.
• BI Metrics: Use the system to generate key performance indicators and business insights.
• Data Analysis: Perform advanced data analysis to inform business decisions.
• Experimentation: Design and execute tests to collect and validate data.

What Opti is Looking For

• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Python, SQL, and potentially R.
• Experience: At least five years of direct, relevant experience.
• Best Practices: Familiarity with best practices in modern data handling, including data warehousing and Lakehouse architectures.
• Comprehensive Skillset: Ability to design, implement, and use data architectures for BI and analytics.
• Curiosity and Analysis: Strong skills in data analysis and a curiosity to understand user behavior.
